Wink

I don't get the whole "300mb is too much for backup/multi tool" thing...
Comparing to hdd size or game size I can say :
"No, multiman is not too much file size and stripped version is out there somewhere..."

This update is awesome for Iris Manager.
But I don't think DeanK is hided the PSOne backup support just for "his paided by Cobra"... Maybe he can't find how that thing works.

DeanK is smart to find that and we can assume "he's hided"...
But can't somebody else find that till now?
Is only smart person is DeanK???
I don't think so...

Also, please GregoryRasputin.
Stop that MM/DeanK hate...
Someone else might find or create how to make gun powder,
but he is making a bullet for our guns...
You can't blame him...
"Giving credits for makers" I don't know much about that...
But, he has managed to make a great program...

If you have a DEX machine, grab the DEX version which is currently on version 1.45 here: ...
Guys.. don't download version 1.45..

The support to cfw 4.21 dex is still present in the new version of Iris Manager (1.50).

And it always will be in future versions..

It is used to simulate EJECT / PUT.

If a game has two or more discs when the game asks for a disk change, unplug and plug the USB device or disc ejects and hits
CD / DVD / BR to change the "iso" (to be ax when your "ejecta" LED flashes green when you put a "new" medium green LED does not blink).
The method is rotating so when using the latest iso it will change to the first iso)

NOTE: You can use a BR disc without problems PSX Emu patched. It is not necessary to eject the disc to play.

aint tried myself ...... yet
I tried @Simonbuck method. It is not working for me. After loading codebreaker and after selecting the cheats, when ask to swap for actual game, I try pressing eject button and unplugging my usb and plugging it back. No luck

Thanks for the info. I will try it!

hey don't be mislead by the politics of this thread...Iris manager is second to multiman which still remains one of the very best homebrew around... so your best bet is to have Iris manager as a viable 2nd backup manager

/dev_usb000
/PSXGAMES
/Metal Gear Solid
|
|--- COVER.JPG -> the cover
|
|--- MGS1.IMG -> disc 1
|
---- MGS2.IMG -> disc 2
|
|-- psx_config.cfg -> psx config. salvado desde Iris Manager (Memory Card, Video Options...)

Translated (badly):

As added PSX isos for Iris Manager 1.50 +

- Create a folder in root PSXGAMES or USB HDD

- Put the PSX game folder inside. The folder name is used as the name of the game in Iris Manager.

- The PSX games should be files. Bin or. Img (or. BIN,. IMG) contend sectors of 2352 bytes. You can get from 1-8 files "iso"

- Iris Manager takes the isos in alphanumeric order. When you throw a game with multiple isos you can rotate the screen in order the last moment.

- You can put a cover.jpg file (maximum size 1024 x 1024 pixels)

- PSX config is saved in the game folder.

Example of game structure:

/ dev_usb000
/ PSXGAMES
/ Metal Gear Solid
|
| --- Cover.jpg -> the cover
|
| --- MGS1.IMG -> disc 1
|
---- MGS2.IMG -> disc 2
|
| - Psx_config.cfg -> psx config. saved from Iris Manager (Memory Card, Video Options ...)
Taken from the original thread. I have not tried PSX isos yet.

@gingerbread
about psx codebreaker...maybe it depends on version?

i have tried "Code Breaker Version 3 (Unl)" and it works fine for me.

i have put the codebreaker as disc1 and the game as disc2 in same folder on usb. at the please insert disc screen just unplug usb and replug it and press O (on this version) as soon as it is plugged. it now loads the actual game

@Rancid-o
can you help me adding dex 3.55 payload into iris as i do not want to upgrade? i really want to use it on my 3.55 dex mfw with dex kernel now but have no clue how to add the payload or find the correct offsets

There were a lot of amazing games on PS1.

Its called playing "retro" games.

You can re-live the past and remember fond memories of growing up, and remembering the first time you played these games....

.. so many memories!
