PS3 with Rogeros 4.30 offline and PS Vita through (local) remote play
Hey guys, i have a question for you.
I recently dusted off my ps3 that has been sitting in the wardrobe, as i noticed a lot of things has been happening in the last couple of months. I updated my 3.55 CFW to Rogeros 4.30, mainly to use it as a multimedia center and to play a couple of japanese games. I have no intention of going online with this machine (it doesn't even have a psn account). Here is what i'm thinking about: I wan't to try out remote play, mostly just to see what i can do with it and play around, but i noticed that to do this you need to register the Vita with the PS3, and the MAC address from the Vita gets registered in the PS3, and probably the other way around too. I have no idea what else gets logged and I understand that this is different from the Console ID. My Vita is legit with an active psn account, which I would like to keep using it online, and not lose any of the games i have bought for it. However, in the 3.55 days, I have some vague memory of data still being sent from the PS3 to Sony if the PS3 is connected to my network, correct me if i'm wrong. I got a bit paranoid that these two could somehow get connected, and cause my Vita to get banned. This might seem stupid, but I have had trouble finding any documentation about any of this and would very much appreciate if someone could tell me if this is paranoia or maybe point me in the direction of something I could read to ease my mind? I really want to be certain, and also I don't care if my PS3 gets banned. To narrow it down, PS3 with CFW offline connected to my legit Vita that i use online through remote play over a local connection, safe or not? ![]() Thanks |
