jb PSP

hey guys

a friend asked me to jailbreak his PSP
its a 2004 model(date-code unknown he cant find it(EDIT: 7D)) with 6.38 OFW
i searched through google and only found BS
what he want to do is to install a CFW(or HEN or how its called) to play backups
i already found sth like a pandora battery you need to downgrade
and is he still able to acces PSN? (dunno if its called PSN on the PSP too)

EDIT: is that a fake? PSP 6.38 Hack 100% works - YouTube cause only 5likes 2 dislikes...

EDIT: ok found out that if i somehow install a CFW i have to copy the games to a mem stick(thought i can use SD-cards) and then just launch them from game menu -> memory stick

Why not upgrade to 6.60 then downgrade to 6.20? And put pro b cfw? Or you could put cfw on 6.60.

For pro b cfw you don't need Pandora battery. That is old now.

Presumably because you would need to go to 6.60 ofw then to 6.60 cfw and then downgrade, I never needed to downgrade my psp's but I would imagine a downgrade from an ofw would not have been possible, could be wrong.

Downgrade from 6.60 tutorial-

A nice simple guide, a monkey could do it, just configure it for your model.

thx guys
when i receuive the PSP i will let you know
when i understood all right i have to take a decision btw 6.20 pro b CFW and 6.60 CFW
what would be best? for example rebug vs rogero true winner for me rogero but on PSPs? :D
so i have to go to ofw 6.60 -> downgrade to OFW 6.20 -> pro b CFW -> profit
or ofw 6.60 -> 6.60 CFW

and is that pro d firmware fully installed or is it just temporairly..?

and what about gaming online

for what that all why cant u just stay on cfw 6.60?

EDIT: it seems like some CFWs are only temporairly
he wants one that is completly installed like on the PS3
so that you dont have to load the CFW each time you reboot the PSP

EDIT: it seems like the FW 6.20 is they key like 3.55 for the PS3
but why do you need to downgrade if theres a 6.60 jb?
You don't need to downgrade, install 6.60 pro and make it permanent with cipl flasher

how do you know what MB you have?
its a 2004 model (date code unknown)
PSPIdent only works on already jailbreaked consoles

EDIT: datecode 7D

EDIT: ok follow this german guide http://www.boerse.bz/multimedia/kons...-erklaert.html

its nice because it tells also how to get to FW 6.60 and how to perma install 6.60-ME1.8
