Before everything: sorry if my english is not very good, I'm still learning.

First the facts, i luckyly have a microsd AND a usb connector for pc so i can put files on it, so the microsd part is not a problem.

My ps3 is a slim 120GB CECH 2001A, the version when i bought it was lower than 3.55 so it's downgradeable.

I can use my iphone 3G as the jailbreak dongle, but my ps3 is on 4.30 so i can use the other way to go to rogero 4.30 without using any jailbreak dongle, so i guess i'm fine about that too.

My only problem is that i don't have the eSATA stand, and there are many tutorials around, they are all different, i want to know which tutorial is the best atm and if i really need the eSATA stand.

You don't REALLY need the esata station. I did it with just a normal sata cable that I connected to the hard disk and to the e3 flasher. Then, I used my PC's PSU to get power to the hard disk.

You can just use your computer's sata cable to do it. Or you can buy one for like 3$ or so at your local computer shop. The need of the station is more if you want dual booting your system. Downgrading is just a one time operation.

Edit : sorry, you need an esata to sata cable, not a normal sata. The connectors are not exactly the same. Anyways, they are pretty cheap as well. So to make it clearer :

1- Buy an esata to sata cable, plug the sata part in your hard drive, and the esata part in the e3 flasher.
2- Have your PC near you, make sure it is shut down, open the case, unplug the molex to sata power cable from the hard disk and plug it in your ps3's hard disk. (The molex to sata power cable looks like this)
3- Power on your PC. (Of course it'll say that it can't boot because it can't detect your hard drive, don't worry you won't lose your OS neither any data on the disk)
4- Proceed to the downgrade.

You do not need the esata station.

Follow the guide below. When it says boot to xmb, boot to the cannot find hard drive screen.
After you flash the patched dump in Chapter 2, Part 1, step 13., Uninstall the flasher and reassemble your PS3. Then continue with the guide.

Thanks for your answers, now that i know this i'll buy my E3, since i have all the other things.
I'll first try playerkp420's way since it's easyer, if i fail i'll try tidge789's idea.

You're right it is way easier ! If I had known this, I would have done this that way. It shouldn't fail because you don't need the e3 flasher and the drive connected simultaneously.

Sometimes I think too much and complicate simple things ahaha. But yeah playerkp420's method should work. If not, then I can confirm mine worked.
