i replaced bad hdd, put in 500gb from laptop and its saying i need 4.1 or later, - PS3Hax Network

I was just playing on my old hdd today then all of a sudden everything kept freezing n then it wouldn't start up anymore, so I put on my 500gb from my laptop n I started it up n its saying I need update 4.1 or later. How do I get 4.1 on my new hdd, I can't access ps3 at all

download the lastest firmware from sony put it on a usb drive and update it
