blu ray drive issue.. need help

ok so the drive died.. changed the lens and it worked but had issue ejecting. had to pop magnet off top manually. tried to fix it and broke the inside drive switch near the right arm. now the blue light is always on.... wont accept or take a disc. but i know the laser works lol. any workaround? way to manually put in disc and have it spin? how do i get the blue light off? ive been searching and trying but with no luck.... the arms n stuff are fine i can raise n lower the laser.

if i remember correctly then the switch is pressed when the mechanism is reset (no disc in) , this would make sense because you broke something and now the button is not pressed anymore, so the ps3 thinks there's a disc inside.

solder 2 wires to it and have your own external switch.

lol i could order a new little board for the inside of the drive... im more thinking. since it thinks theres a disc in is there a way i can put a disk in manually and have it actually spin and read? or theres a sensor on the outside too as i see it ontop and a tiny red n black wire set on the outside the case to the drive which i plug into the board. can i bypass the internal sensor and rely on the external one maybe?

that tiny sensor is a optical sensor and it is for triggering the inject mechanism when you insert a disc, but since you messed that internal switch up, it won't do anything.

bypassing the internal switch will let the optical sensor work again, and take your disc in, but i'm affraid the ps3 will be confused about the internal switch.

not 100% sure, but you will have problems ejecting the disc again.
but holding the eject button for longer then 6 seconds will force eject.

you can solder a bypass in 2 ways, choose what is easier for you.
