do you know what this part is? part no. or anything or are you taking it off another board?

and do you have the same board? if so could you take a pic of the same area so we can see how it should look please

i'm 100% sure it's a 5V regulator, but if it's damaged it's due to the burned trace, not a short on it's own end.
the fan is still running on 12V if you ask me, so a short there will have nothing to do with the ru 50 part.
