The fine was not near enough, it was more a slap on the wrist. Now if they can only get scea and scej, maybe Sony will get the hint that they don't run things LOL.

Sony says cfw users are criminals, but look what there doing to there customers privacy on there network. Not making that priority one is sad just sad, there more worried about stopping cfw users.

I say make all 3 headquarters pay! Scea scej and scee, not just one

fine them a lot more, say $10 for every user they left vulnerable and make them sign an agreement to protect customers "properly" and "fairly" or face very harsh consequences in future.

a $10 fine for leaving 1 persons data unsecure and vulnerable is extremely low but the total would be immense but well deserved. even a $1 fine per user would see them never repeat their slack actions

considering @marty370 is banned temporarily, i have taken the liberty of voting to leave sony alone on his behalf :P

I need to move the hell out of america with their corrupt government politicians that can be bought with a few golf holes and some fancy dinners and go to a country that believe in still protecting their citizens rights and privacy.

It's about damn time a company owns up to some responsibility and stop dodging punishments when they clearly were in the wrong by self admission! Sony just needs to wake up and fire ALL of their executives. They changed the CEO and they STILL have serious issues.

The fine may be low but the point is that they wanted Sony to know that they have bad feelings about them and they they're watching their next moves if they learn for their mistakes otherwise the next time they'll give them a really bad time. Great, it appears there is justice in the other side of the faint-light tunel of Sony's nazism. I'd call this a critical point in Sony's history in the industry, Sony finally feels the pressure, even if it is a volcano ready to explode.
