What's your problem with a dev earning money ? You have a problem with Team Xecuter too ? Because, let me tell you something, at first, every hack for every new drive that comes out, requires you to buy a TX product in order to unlock the drive, for example, the only way of unlocking the DG-16D4S drives at first, was to buy TX Unlocked PCB, and later Matrix Freedom PCB, it taked more than a year to have a free solution, and even now, we still don't know how to make a replacement PCB, you know why ? Because TX never tell us how.

Also they never release their source, they never tell how to make your own PCB's, or how to achieve better performance with home made Glitch Chips, even knowing the RGH was discovered by a dev that released it for free, along with the instruction to make your own hardware in order to achieve the hack, TX only taked that info, and put their name on it.

Don't get me wrong, I f*cking love TX work, I'm just showing you how irrational it's your perspective, people need/want money/stuff that's how progress works, see the XBOX 360 scene for example, If we didn't pay TX, we will never had a way to flash our DVD Drives, or did you really thought that c4eva works for free ?

Jabroni listen
Team Xecuter use their OWN code....

deank uses open source code, uses other peoples code and closes that up and makes money off it...

Is there a tutorial on how to use this manager somewhere? I got through the ps1emu.self patching fine, but it only gives me 2 options for game folder, both on internal. Is there a way to use this with externals? Pardon my noobness, but I can see the point of using this unless I can use external

I made a bad written one:

Click here to see full text
Simple instructions to get PSX isos working on Iris Manager > 1.50:

Thing you need:

The latest Iris Manager release

TrueAncestor SELF resigner (only for the required files)
http://www.mediafire.com/?4ojs79teb4486x4

A file manager (i.e. multiMAN , Comgenie Awesome FileManager) or a working ftp connection on PS3

Instructions:

- Extract the Iris Manager rar file

- Install the PKG (The pkg is inside the rar file: irismanager-4-x.pkg)

- Extract patch_ps1emu.rar

- Extract TrueAncestor SELF resigner and copy the contents of the DATA (ldr_curves, vsh_curves, keys) to the patch_ps1emu DATA folder.

- Copy the file /dev_flash/ps1emu/ps1_emu.self (using FTP or a file Manager) and place into the patch_ps1emu extracted folder

- Run patch_ps1emu.bat with Administrator privileges

- Copy the generated ps1_emu_patched2.self to the IRIS MANAGER folder on PS3 (usually /dev_hdd0/game/IMANAGER4)
Directory structure:

/dev_usb000/PSXGAMES/yourgamename

Example: /dev_usb000/PSXGAMES/FinalFantasy9
Inside the game folder, put your ISO/BIN/IMG and a file named “Cover.jpg” (the game cover image)

The Cover image must not exceed 1024x1024

Your PSX games will apperar on Iris Game list

Tips:

Last game played: Hold L1 at Iris Manager startup
Sort by system: L2 / R2

Thanks @LoboGuara , but what I meant was the program only gives me the option of using dev_hdd0/GAMES or dev_hdd0/GAMEZ as my game folder. I want to use my external drive (because it's already set up with dozens of games that I'm not going to copy to internal)

Make sure the folder on your external that has your PS3 games in is called "GAMEZ"
