Play downloaded ps3 games with only a logicboard
my ps3 has a broken bluray so I took the bluray out and only connected the logic board is there a way to play downloaded games with only the logicboard?

there are more people that only have a logic board connected, personally i thought this would not work, but guess i'm wrong here.

yes the ps3 will play games from the internal without a disc drive. as long as the logic board works

i run a cechg model and a cechl with no drive just the board. both work fine

I have setup a lot of PS3s with no drive, just the logic board. And can run all games discless with this guide.
If it doesn't work with just the logic board, then the board is bad, or the ribbon is bad, or it needs to be married to the motherboard.
