Rebug 4.30.1 PLZ HELP!!!
Okay, I have a chech01 model, I installed rebug 4.30.1 , I installed toolbox, click on toolbox and get a BLACKSCREEN.... Thats issue number 1 which is any .pkg i install results into a blackscreen..
Issue number 2, my BD needs to be remarried, y because the PCM board isnt original with MB idk what happened to my original. Issue number 3, I try to do a system update with '999' but get a Error after rebooting to install. I have a Teensy 2.0 (not 2.0 ++) board, but It wont go into FSM.. I seriously need someone to help me, Ive been searching and trying practically everything.. |

Never heard of toolbox doing that before, Ive been with rebug since day 1 of there CFW. As for the other PKG installing getting the black screen, they may just need to be resigned with the 4.xx keys to work.
As for updating with the 999, if your on 4.30.1 why are you updating? thats the highest rebug fw right now.

Im trying to downgrade to 3.55.4 rebug.. Or try to fix whatever is wrong with the .Pkg files so i can get passed the blackscreen or get into factory service mode to remarry my bluray

I've had that problemo once or twice. Make sure you don't have a disc in the drive. I'm on 4.21 rex and it gives me black screen when I try to run anything except multiman when I have a game in the drive

If I remember right the 999 downgrader has to be run from recovery

You dont want to enter FSM while on 4.30 CFW. Theres a reason why the Rebug toolbox doesnt enable the option on any CFW above 3.55. The reasoning might be due to not being able to leave service mode. so you need to get to 3.55 somehow, and get into fsm

So @astewart80 will need to get to 3.55 to remarry the drive. If the 999 downgrader PUP is not working for you, try this. Install CEX_DOWNGRADER_PS3UPDAT.PUP(it is 4.25 to 3.55 downgrade PUP, I renamed) from the XMB. Then install Rogero 3.55 v3.7 from the recovery menu. You will need to have at least a blu ray logic board connected. It doesn't have to be married, but has to be connected with the ribbon and the grey power cable.

about black screen+toolbox, it happens occasialy when updating/changing firmware from Rebug..the first time running theToolbox gives a black screen, re-install toolbox to fix, seen it 2 times so far..

I installed the cex downgrader.. I went into recovery to install rogero but it said no applicable update was found... I renamed it PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP but nothing im on 4.21 now.. I also tried installing toggle qa but it stays on blackscreen, no beeps.. Last edited by astewart80; 02-09-2013 at 01:53 PM. |

Have you tried to install it Rogero v3.7 from the XMB? toggle qa gives you a blackscreen because your logic board is not married. I am not sure if remarry works on the hybrid downgrader firmware? You can try.
