E3 direct downgrade with Rogero 4.30

Hello, I have a question about a direct dowgrading with E3 Flasher, I have successfully dowgraded about 10 PS3 with this method:

-Install E3
-Upgrade E3
-Backup Nor
-Check Nor Dump
-Flash e3_downgade.bin
-Remove E3
-Install CFW Rogero 3.55 (In FSM)
-Upgrade CFW to Rogero 4.30 2.05

The question is this, I have readed that I can flash directly the Rogero CFW 4.30 (instead of the CFW 3.55) but i wanted to ask if it's possible (I don't want to brick the console).

Thank you very much!

Yes it is possible. See the guide below.

And you don't have to update the e3 flasher every time. Use the Samsung update.bin once. Then flash as many PS3s you want.

Hi! thanks for the reply , Can I use this steps (using the e3_dowgrade.bin), I want to do it that way, so I don't patch the backup dump.

-Install E3
-Backup Nor
-Check Nor Dump
-Flash e3_downgade.bin
-Remove E3
-Install CFW Rogero 4.30 2.05 (In FSM)

Thank you!!

I haven't tried it that way. But I believe it applies the same patches, so I think it will work.

I would recommend patching the dump and flashing the patched dump though. You will still have your original dump, not modified at all. It will create another file named bkpps3.patched.bin.

Thank you! I'll try and then let you know how it goes.
