Problem dumping with teensy 2
Hi there,
I'm doing a dump with a teensy 2. A ps3 is slim model and S.O. windows Xp sp3. when i run the cmd norway.py com3 dump f.bin the count starts and then freeze after a while. this is the report that i have NORway.py v0.5 final - Teensy++ 2.0 NOR flasher for PS3 (judges@eEcho.com) (Orignal noralizer.py by Hector Martin "marcan" <hector @marcan soft.com>) Pinging... Set SB to tristate NOR chip manufacturer: Macronix (0xc2) NOR chip type: MX29GL128 (0x7e2101) Checking sector protection... No protected sectors found! STATUS_TRIST_N: LOW STATUS_RESET_N: HIGH STATUS_READY: HIGH STATUS_CE_N: LOW STATUS_WE_N: HIGH STATUS_OE_N: HIGH Resetting NOR... Ready. Dumping NOR... 3968 KB / 16384 KB The count of bytes are different each time I run the command. Have U any suggest of that problem? Sorry for my english. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Connect teensy to your computer, open device manager, right click com3 (ports), select properties, select port settings tab, click advanced and set receive and transmit buffers to "1". Click ok, ok. You might wanna reboot your computer. If that doesnt help, disable "FIFO buffers" completely. If that doesn't help, use a different computer.
Also don't use other usb devices which use a lot of bandwidth (mass storage devices) while dumping. -- judges |
