this is the external HDD i have and i have some trouble getting the ps2 to even read it ! i was just wondering if anyways has one and got it to work so i can play ps2 games from the HDD and yes i tried converting and installing from cmd idk what else there is to get it to work ! so if anyone can help me i would appreciate it.

....Never tried it myself, but I know that PS2 USB backup loading is possible...
But I also know, that virtually every game with a cutscene/moviescene lags, because of the USB port only being USB 1.1/1.0.... You don't think thats a problem for you?
Anyway, sorry cant help you...
I have a slim ps2 myself, but I'm just using burned DVD's and freeboot... Would like a fat PS2 that I could install a HDD in though :P

I have the same one. It works for me. Are you sure you have your games in the correct folder and that's the drive is formatted to FAT32? That drive comes default formatted to NTFS which the PS3 won't read.

I had this drive and currently have 3tb version and works perfect after formatting to fat32.

yes it was converted to fat32 actually since windows wont let me format it to fat32 and its for my ps2 not ps3 and i tied using usadvance and open ps2 loader and it wont even read the games on there.

My apologies. I read that and still the PS2 part somehow went through one ear and out the other. I hope you get it figured out.
