Hello,

I'm quite new to using BSD but I am already getting around to using the resign function and removing of copy protected status on saves fairly well and works once I test them. .I'm using an OFW 4.31 PS3 and I still have some questions remaining if I really want to learn to take full use of the features this great program can give me. .One thing on my mind is that do I really need to get the Console ID of my PS3, is it needed if I'm going to add or apply codes to the save, and what can it do or what's the advantage if I have it written on the global.conf?. .I'm actually having quite a hard time using the codes feature since I'm not really familiar with it unlike with GG in which I have a basic grasp that could get me by using, adding, and finding codes. .When I try to add the codes the result would be it would either load but no codes working, save gets corrupted, loads and freezes. .I'm wondering where I'm going wrong and I hope someone could lead me in the right direction if anyone have the free time. .

First of all take your time to read the FAQ.

1. Until some figures out how to resign sign saves without Console ID like Game Genie, you need your Console ID to utilise 100% out of BSD.

2. There are various reason why game might freeze or cheats does not work in BSD. See the Flowchart.

^ I just skimmed through the faq once the first time I saw this thread. .reading through it again I somewhat understand some of them but I didn't get most of what was written on the "code format", "Human Readable script", and "Method 2" section of the Faq. .The flow chart really do make it easier to understand the cause of things. .still, I only have basic knowledge in these things so most of it seems to advanced for me. .I thank you for the guidance and I hope I would learn the necessary things to make things work on my side someday. .

@DaGhost I would not know how Madden save works as I have never played the game. But I can offer this small tip. Never try to change the value to a large amount quickly. Always try small increments, try double digit values first like FF(255). Then save, play for a while until the values gets greater. Then try to examine what has changed, then increase slightly. Also always try to tackle one cheat at a time.

I am sure experts could give you a better advice.
