Anything after XMB won't load on ps3 taken apart PS3 after disk got stuck half way in

I have a PS3 that I've taken apart once a blu ray got stuck half way. PS3 turns on, however anything after the XMB just loads to a black screen. Games, PSN Store, everything.

I can't find anything regarding either of these issues, and the PS3 in question is the second fat one released at 80 GB.

Any insight would be suuuuper appreciated.

Thanks!

Is the blu ray drive connected properly? if you were taking the ps3 apart to fix an issue with it the problem likely occurred whilst putting it back in.

the power cable from the drive is probably not plugged in, or the ribbon cable is somehow damaged.

After accessing the recovery mode and resetting everything (thanks for the reminder!) still nothing. I then proceeded to try everything one more time, no go. I took it apart again, took out the bluray and disconnected the power supply, made sure the cable was put in properly on both ends and my bluray is still stuck the PSN Store loads now and I am able to download games, so I'll letcha guys know what happens when I can try playing them.

So, what might have caused the fuse to be konked out? ...how can I get the blurry out?
