No PS3 Software installed
Hi so I got a new HHD for PS3, didn't backup any software from old HHD and wiped it.
Now I am stuck unable to load any software onto new HDD; it keeps asking me to insert a portable storage device with 4.21or latest on it. I dont have the backup of any version, what to do? |

Follow instructions from Sony's website here: http://us.playstation.com/support/sy...date/index.htm. Once you're got the update file on a USB stick (make sure the folder structure is right), you can plug the stick into the PS3, then turn it on and it will search the stick for the update file and install it from there.
