OFW 4.31 to CFW - PS3Hax Network

Hi, im pretty new to the whole PS3 thing. I've been reading a lot of topics and im getting confused. I own a PS3 CECH-4004C.

From what i've been reading I understand that older models can be downgraded to 3.55 such that CFW can be installed.
Newer models (like mine) require additional hardware like a programmer to downgrade.

However, with the lvl0 keys which got available it should also be possible to upgrade straight to 4.31 CFW? Like on http://www.ps3jail.com/
1) is this true?

2) Is the recovery menu always available? (in case upgrading goes somehow wrong).?

We have not got private key to make a cfw to install over 3.56+ Ofw. Also u can't do anythink witiPodh your ps3, u can't even downgrade. u need to buy amother ps3 that is able to have cfw on it. That website is fake. If it says different to what ps3hax site says then it's definitely fake. We speak the truth and not bs

Yeh it's not newer hardware that requires a flasher, it's newer firmware.

Your ps3 cannot be downgraded at all.
