To me, the account ban was more important than the console ban. Once they banned my account, they could hand me a new ps3 for free and I still wouldn't take it. I spent quite some time on my account and doing it all over, trophies, digital purchases, online passes, dlc. I don't have it in me to go through all of that again.

It's all on me as I used that account online but it also completely deflated my will to use psn if given the chance.

I'm not sure if t was directed towards me but if it was...here's a story/ I had a phat ps3, I had ordered an e3 flasher for the downgrade, and was going to be an offline ps3. My ps3 was already on it's last legs and died shortly after, I bought a hackable ps3 slim. I wasn't going to buy 2 consoles, as I have better things to do than burn my wallet on the same thing. I knew the risks but never had a problem. I knew I was getting ahead of myself but eventually got caught, losing psn doesn't bother me.

I got bored of psn...since I've been back in the pc gaming phase. Being denied access to psn does not bother me, The account ban bothered me a bit considering what I gave up I say it's a good trade-off.

Two years ago with the phat ps3, I was on cfw using minimus avr usb, before a true cfw came out, thanks to geohot. The difference between then and now? I don't care for psn to actually crawl back in which I did 2 years ago. The ban solidified that my ps3 will always remain on cfw this time.

Yes I'm a bit sour about the account ban, but I had it coming. This gen has been pushing me away tbh. Want extra characters? Buy it. Want extra costumes? Buy it even though it's on disc. It's not going to get better next-gen.

There's a reason why many of us in the scene are still having a blast psx and emulators on a ps3, back then games were games, not half-assed graphic intensive but no substance video games.

My post was kind at you. But I really wasn't trying to be an a$$ hole. I just wanted to say, when you hack the ps3 don't be mad when sony bans you. The only safe system is the xbox 360. The chance is so low that everyone hacks the 360 to mod games. Sony knows they make more money by banning people. Because look, you had more than one ps3 right? Even if you bought them from people, the ps3 still gave Sony money the first time.

I know a hacked ps3 is cool but it's mostly for pirating games. Homebrew is just what the noobs claim they want. But they never even play the homebrew games. You always see people asking for help on playing ISO games and stuff. Never you see a post about, "Help me play homebew on me ps3". You see this: "Help me play ISO games on my ps3".

I would rather stay offline and have a blast modding and things without the chance of being banned or what not.

I honestly don't see the need for PSN obviously it is good for some games but meh that's why I have 2 consoles.

As for what I use CFW for is for such things as PSX emulators not that it works wish iris would play the backups I love MGS want to play it again haha.

2 consoles won't won't help. I have had 3 banned. 2 on cfw and 1 just yesterday that is on OFW. I am a bit pissed about the OFW. I don't know why that console was banned. Or my that psn account for that fact.

I wonder if I call and raise a stink about it if I can get them to undo the ban. I can give them all the console info they need. What if I live with roommates that have CFW but I don't. They don't know that. Might be worth a shot. I am starting to wonder if someone stole the ID. I need to read the user agreement. If it only applies to each console then I cant see how that would even be legal. Sprint tried that crap with me when I got a used phone. The previous owner stilled owed them money. So they blocked the ESID number. One call the the FCC and got a call back within 12hrs. We are so sorry we can hook that up for you right away! LMAO
