Ni No Kuni 3.55 Can it be done or blocked?

hey all!

Wondering if anyone happened to get a 3.55 working for this game backup?

I tried with the back eboot tools but nothing works. Is it just not possible with this game?

Thanks all!

whats the point?
you should just update to a higher cfw rebug 4.30.X or miralatijera 4.40
and avoid these kind of issues

Its really only because I have like 200 PSN games I dont want to resign, and im currently on the TB firmware and could never find a definitive answer on the exact proper way to update due to it being the TB FW and not just the regular kmeow.

If anyone can give me exact instructions on how to do it and what tools I need to fix the PSN games as well as what I need to get my 3.55 patched ps3 games working again I would be MORE then happy to send mental karma their way. Till then, im stuck on 3.55

there are a few users that want/have to stay on 3.55 till the end. that's not the question here. the question was: why is ni no kuni different from metro last light in terms of patching?

EXACTLY! It seems that all other games can be patched no prob. But for some reason this one (based on 4.25) just cant be patched for some reason.

With the darkeboot tools I can do the eboot but there is an sprx file that just wont go. it wants to brute force it but never can find the key. Anyone want to give it a go?

Maybe selfs/modules are in *.adat (munges) too. So if it's true (it's only an idea) you need to unpack adats, resign files and pack them to adats.

Interesting.........

Yeah there are NO self files. Just an edat and and sprx that I can find. Any tools that would unpack adats? Also, how do you know what files need to be modified?

After extracting adat files you can check exctracted files via hex editor to find selfs/modules.

But about playing Ni No Kuni backup on 3.55 i think best way is to QA flag then update to 4.XX cfw (play Ni No Kuni) then downgrade (via Debug System Update) to 3.55. Switching FWs via Debug System Update is really quick

AHHH now thats an idea!!

Great idea.

Ok so are these my steps?

1 - use recovery to go back to kmeow 3.55 (or can I do it right from TB FW)
2 - Put on latest rebug (link to your recommended one?) through recovery
3 - Install QA flag.
4 - revert back to 3.55 when needed via system debug update? Can you explain the steps in the debug system update and what tools I need to achieve all this?

Thanks a ton!! What a great idea!
