hi, im new to this forum, and new to hacking/ jailbreaking my ps3.
i never done it before.

here is my info about my ps3.

System Firmware - 4.31 OFW
Serial - XXXXXXXXXXX - CECH - 2501A

can i jailbreak my ps3?
and if so can you explain how to do it?

Check the ps3 dev wiki on date code to see if u can downgrade. Can also use minverchk to see lowest firmware that can be insyalled on ur box. If 3.55 or lower u can jailbreak it using a flasher that u must buy.. then usr the seqrch function.. and use it again and again and agai. And again. All the info is on this site. . Use Ur time and seqch not everyone's else's

don't u mean 3.56 or lower

ok i did the minverchk. and the message that showed on my ps3 said this
update data of version 3.40 or later can be installed on this system (8002F967)

My ps3 was Manufactured in July 2010

I used THIS tutorial with a teensy++ to complete my downgrade.
