Someone had the same problem with God of War 3 a while back, and before that I remembered reading changing the Boot mode to Release Mode got Resident Evil 6 working. So I suggested that to the person which fixed the issue.

Glad that your advice was enough to get the game working for Heineken and gaybolg. I have the exact same issue (start new game, sticks on the Omega spinning page) but I have Rogero 4.30 and I don't see the option to go in to release mode. Any suggestions for me? Should I update my Rogero to v2.05?

It's hard for me to give a suggestion because I have not experienced that problem.

First of all, have you installed the 1.01 update? And are you running the latest version of multiMan found here?

Have you downloaded a ripped version or the full copy? Have you used PS3Splitter? (If so that could be your problem).

I've tried literally everything I can think of. I'm fortunate enough to have two PS3s, both a fat and a slim, both on Rogero 1.00, the fat is my main and I've tried using the latest MM and a slightly older (4.19.01) on that and an older version on the slim. I'm using the Duplex release and have tried with and without the 1.01 patch, have redownloaded all the files a second time in case aldo's tools somehow messed up the splitting, same thing every time. Tried deleting the big file and editing the archive file and running from external, once again, stuck on that screen.

My next attempted fix is going to be updating to Rogero 2.05.

Do you get the exact same problem with the 1.01 patch?

I would say your problem is from splitting and using aldo's tools.

I don't thik updating to Rogero 2.05 will fix your problem.

Why are you splitting it?

Yep, both 1.0 (i.e. untouched) and 1.01 let me choose a save slot, difficulty etc, then hang.

I'm using a splitter because there is a >4gb file, and my external is formatted to FAT32, so in order to get it on there and then to internal, I have to split it.

I think that's your problem.

I would suggest ripping it (not splitting), I think that file over 4GB is completely redundant to running the game (I think it's full of irrelevant 'making of' videos or something if I'm not mistaken.

I would suggest you follow this guide:

or download what I sent to you in PM.

Well it's probably the method that works because this is only not working for you to due user error. Don't mean to sound like a prick but you're doing something wrong. lol
