maybe I'm doing a wronge file update for ofw or should I valdiate working QA flag first before setting update to 3.55 ???

If you can enable QA flag from that hybrid CFW do it.

try update to 3.55 OFW through RECOVERY, after that, by verifying the file, and holding start and select when it prompts you to update:

EDIT:

After the Downgrader PUP installs you'll be on a hybrid CFW3.55 that will still shows the spoofed ver4.21 from system settings.
In case you didn't have it Set Before, Enable QA flag by following these steps:

Enable QA

Download the Rebug QA_Toggle package
Put the "toggle_qa.pkg" on USB and Install it on the PS3.
Run the "Rebug Toggle QA" from XMB, the screen will go Black and you will see HDD Led activity then if all went fine you will hear 2 or 3 Beeps and the PS3 will Restart back to XMB.
If you want to make sure QA flag was set, go to "Network Settings" then apply the following key combo (all at the same time):

L1 + L2 + L3 (press left stick) + R1 + R2 + dpad_down

You should see Edy Viewer, Debug Settings, and Install Package Files if done correctly.
That's pretty much wher you are I guess...

After QA flagging and verifying, reinstall 3.55 OFW twice through recovery to dehash properly.

EDIT 2: here is a dehash tutorial for you to compare to the tutorial you are currently using: http://tortuga-cove.com/forums/viewt...p?f=127&t=3638

8- Select the last option of the Recovery Menu --> System Update, then when prompted press and hold "Start+Select" for 5 seconds to start the update.

Once finished the PS3 will restart into XMB with the Syscon hashes reset back to 3.55 in both "ros0" and "ros1" and your PS3 is back like any original/non Downgraded PS3 that can use any CEX/DEX Fw without having to worry about disabling LV1 checks.
NOTE:
Installing 3.55 OFW twice from recovery dehashes your console more thoroughly and properly apparently.

Re-try the QA toggle again, until it works.

Run the "Rebug Toggle QA" from XMB, the screen will go Black and you will see HDD Led activity then if all went fine you will hear 2 or 3 Beeps and the PS3 will Restart back to XMB.

Is it doing that??

http://rebug.me/toggle-qa/ link to toggle QA if your one isnt working.

http://www.ps3hax.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=557 link to 3.55 OFW.

If you started the toggle app once and it didnt work, then you did it again and it still didnt work, then do it again until it does work.

Try remove any USB sticks or game discs before clicking the toggle again... .. try hard reboot your PS3 and try the combo....

toggle toggles on first use, off second use, on third use etc etc unless its isnt setting the toggle for some reason...

uninstalling the app doesnt uninstal the QA toggle, just the app to toggle it.

Just try run it again, and test the combo, if it doesnt do it again... you guessed it, try again.....

You could always try an alternative toggle...http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/QA_Flagging
http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/QA_Fl...app_to_QA_flag.. or install KMEAW 3.55, and try the toggle from there, then reinstall OFW 3.55 from recovery (twice) over CFW KMEAW to dehash.

This is weird, are you sure you're pressing the right button combo? Make sure you press them all at the same time and that you are ON Network Settings NOT IN Network Settings when you do it.

Also, if you ran Toggle QA twice and it beeped on both, this means you have disabled QA, you have to run it a 3rd time to enable it. Every time you run Toggle QA, it enables QA if it was disabled and disables it if it was enabled (hence the word "toggle").
