Hi guys, this is my first post here, i'm a completely noob and new to the ps3 domain, all my life i was using the computer to playvideo games after my first console the super nintendo so please be kind and help me and sorry fot the long post

So i bought a used ps3 slim 320gb cech-2504B and date code 0D it was not patched at first, annd i don't know which firmware it was, i took it to an unoficcial ps3 shop to patch it, he just connected it to and external hdd and done few things and installed some games for me(pes13 v1.0 which lags alot , tombraider collection which open but when i choose a game it just stays black screen and the ps3 freezez and assassin's creed revelations that seems to woork normal but i notice a few of fps drop) i don't know if this is normal or i'm spoiled with the constant 60fps on the computer

ok, i don't know with hack is on my ps3, in system information it says 4.31 unlike the psp there is not cfw !!
the system when opens it shows rogero on the screen,
there is a multiman app in games i open it to choose my games, also it is messed up, it shows "installation incomplete please install basic or full package" when i open it
i have a kane and lynch dvd which came with my used ps3, the games only open when the dvd is inside

also after reading some , there is rogero, rebug and multi man, soo why my ps3 have two hacks at the same time ?? rogero and multiman !!!!

so guyss what i do in my situation,, i'm completely new to the ps3 thing and not used with consoles, what i do in my situation and what are the steps to do please, link me tutorials , also i don't care about playing online or anything, i just want to copy games on my ps3 and finish their story mod and install their dlcs

sorry for the long post, i guess it's like this to tell you every thing i know about my ps3 so you can help me

please don't tell me why play on ps3 when u have good pc, i actually sold my computer cuz i'm broke now and bought this cheap ps3 slim 320gb

Multimanager (MM) is not the PS3 jailbreak, it is a kind of file manager, like explorer is for Windows....

If the MM install is broken, download MM base again, put it in the root of a fat32 formatted usb stick and install it again with "Install Packages" on your XMB....

Rogero is Firmware (CFW aka custom firmware)

Multiman is a back up manager, to play back ups of games.

There is a link to mM 04.20.00 BASE in my SIGNATURE unser "MULTIMAN", install it again to fix anything that is wrong.

Update your PS3 to REBUG REX 4.30.2 or Rogero 4.30 v2.05 from XMB update via USB storage.

Remove any game discs before you update.

REBUG REX is stable I love it!

also i want to do every thing again by myself and install the Rogero 4.30CFW (which is the best version after some googling) because i think that the guy who hacked my ps3 messed it up and installed the 4.31

Not sure if his PS3 is spoofed or not and if it has to be removed before changing the FW?

Shouldnt matter .... pretty sure... also if its rogero the spoof is built in so he cant remove it...

If it is spoofed though and you can remove it.. do so.. just to be sure.

ok guys, after reading many tutorials and stuff about ps3 hacking, i think that my ps3 is on rogero hack, i installled the full multiman 4.20 and updated it yesterday and it's working perfect but i still have few questions i hope that you answer them please:

why in my ps3 system information it shows 4.31 and in multiman system information it shows 4.30 and other words i remember only hermes from them

now can i just install the last version of rogero 4.30cfw 2.05 without any need to downgrade

why my games work only if there is a BL disc in the ps3 and is there any method to play without a bl cause this will damage the bl reader with time

and what is the bdv emulator that i need it to play black screen games like Tombraider trilogy( i get black screen after i chose a game) i can't find this option on my ps3

so far i tried nfs the run and battlefield 3 and ac revelations and pes 2013 and they work great( the lag i mentioned above was just in my mind because i'm used to play games on computer)

1) You're firmware is 4.30 but it spoofed to 4.31 to prevent updating from disk or online.
2) I don't know about rogero's but you should be able to install REBUG 4.30.2 REX (witch is the better FW IMHO) straight over this one.
3) Yes it's possible to run all games diskless but you'll have to convert to DEX to do this.
4) You'll find the BDemu Option by highlighting the game in Multiman and pressing square.
