Im running the newest rogero cfw and no manager will back up any of my games with 4+gb files. Ive tried MM and iris with no luck. The both give up once they hit the big file. Ive tried to copy to internal but it wont work. I dont want to lose this game i just bought (new puppy) like i have a few others do to not being able to copy 4+gb files.

Should backup fine to internal with the copy option in multiman, unless the disc is dirty or scratched.

When you say "no manager will backup" and "they both give up", what do you mean? Do you get any message? Does it get stuck? What exactly is happening?

Iris will freeze when it gets to the big file and mm aborts. Its a new disk so i know thats not the problem because it does this with any game with a 4+gb file.

multiman should be able to do it too internal. when you try to copy it make sure you have selected the internal drive and not an external one. also make sure you have enough room on the internal for it all to fit on there. as a last resort the only thing i can think of would be to download it and put it onto the ps3 with a ftp manager

I have 679gb free and no external hdd hooked up. File managers do the same thing. They will freeze when trying to copy or rip 4+gb files. I dont understand whats goin on. Im not thinking a lens problem cause the games will play fine all the way thu but they wont rip. Any game without big files rip fine.

maybe it has somethink to do with that u cant copy a file that's 4+gb on to fat 32

Don't think so because he's trying to copy to internal and even to external, mM would split the 4+ files automatically.

Are u sure it's freezing? Maybe it's just taking a long time and u're not waiting long enough?

Mm aborts when it hits big files and iris for sure freezing cause i waited 3 hours and had to unplug my slim.

Jus wanna say thanx for everybody who is trying to help. This is the only site that ive even got any replys. I jus tried again using mm file manager and it starts to copy the big file (19+gigs) and it starts to copy but when it gets to 5% it aborts. Thats when tryin to copy tge big file only. Ive copied every other file and folder fine but it wont do the big file. I dont wanna download the game (40+gigs) because i like having copys of my disks and not others cause then i feel like i dont have real backups but something i downloaded.

Not sure if it matters but i have a slim 2001a. 3.41-3.55Kmeaw-4.21Rogero-3.55Kmeaw(had to format hdd and use fsm to downgrade)-4.30 Rogero v2.05. Newest mm with new payload, newest iris. I know its not mm's new payload cause ive had this problem since 3.55kmeaw before the new cfws came out.

Is it a game that installs to the HDD? Maybe try to install the game and see with ftp if that big file is installed from the original disk or not ....
