Hello there,

I got a Slim PS3 model 2001a, That I have downgraded successfully (Running Rogero 4.30 v2.05). The console loads CD but doesn't load BluRay Disc. When I open any PKG file the screen just goes black.

I have done all these below with no joy.

• Restart System: Restarts the PLAYSTATION®3 System.
• Restore Default Settings: Reset all system settings back to default.
• Restore File System: Checks for corrupt/missing system files.
• Rebuild Database: Rebuilds the OS for the PLAYSTATION®3.
• Restore PS3 System: Fresh restore; Deletes everything and starts from Scratch.
• System Update: Update the PLAYSTATION®3 System

I don't know if I have done something wrong. I will really appreciate if anyone out there could help.

BD is dead most likly, You will need a new one or a new logicboard to marry to it.

I manage to get it work by following baileyscreen tutorial on how to remarry Blueray player. The console is now operating in factory service mode with a big RED rectangle saying PS3 Factory / service mode.

Problem is half fixed because it doesn't open Blueray Game. But it does open Blueray movie.



Could someone out there please help

All working fine now It couldn't open BR Game because the console firmware was 3.55.
