Here is a very nice tutorial on how to make your own PS3 slim power switch for FREE. In this tutorial the guy used a power switch from an old lamp and fussed it to a PS2 power cable. I know there is another tutorial related to this one in the forums, however this one is better explained and has nicer pictures. Also, the switch installation is easier. I attempted this mod earlier today and it worked great.
I found an old reading lamp with a switch in the basement and decided to give it a try.
Thanks for the tutorial because i probably would not of gone hunting for a lamp if it wasn't for reading this thread.

@anndari you rock, thanks so much for the tutorial. I gave it a try and worked great. I had an old lamp from ikea with the switch and it is black, so it matches my PS3 perfectly. :-)
