Yes i think it was! but Wii's security is child play compared to the ps3, even a modchip was created weeks after the release of the wii (weeks not months or an year) so you can't compare... everything in the ps3 is encrypted its not that you can do a ram dump and read it directly its still encrypted... the wii scene even has a backup loader and everything they can run homebrew we can't its not comparable . Nintendo and security do not match

the common key from the wii was also created by dumping the ram from the wii right?
wrong !!!
The common key is stored and would be found in a separated chip that was put into the starlight. No RAM dump.Bushing figured out where they key was stored (chip in the GPU) and found a way to dump this chip out of the starlight. So the starlight also have abilitys to control what is going on in the console and the common key stored in a separated chip in the GPU never to leave his place. So the common key only was to found in the GPU not in the RAM !!!

ps. by the way.......we all know that the ps3 is a security monster. The hackers give there best and it is like they have to go over the whater till the ps3 get really full hacked and you guys belive that a RAM dump will lead into anything like a privat or a encryption key?
To belive on this its like you say: "I belive on santa claus"
Even Nintendo with there Wii and less security of all three cons have put a separated chip into the GPU to secure the common key.

Accually its like saying "There's other life in the universe". We KNOW there is, but we are to egotistical to admit it. It will get hacked and what we see is the beginning.
