Is a psn card like a prepaid psn$ or not also r they avalible in australia

PlayStation Network Cards are prepaid cards used to buy PlayStation 3 and PSP games/content in the online PSN Store, and there not avalible in australia or anyother PAL area yet, which is usally the case with anything coming out lol
