Does it make a boot install of the PS3UPDAT.PUP when you turn the PS3 on?
sorry when I'm wrong^^
lv2diag.self says just what it is.

Its a Level 2 Diagnostic tool.

just so you guys know CEX = retail DEX = debug

Corresponds to the first 2 characters of the model number, example CECHA01 retail, DECHA00A debug.

The file's make it freeze (Or a terminal end, as what we call it) because Sony know's if we get these file's, "Ha FK YOU GUY'S. THINK YOUR SMART. MWHAHAH"...That's pretty much what's going on. Once we get the other program we need, or file's, they'll start being like "Oh ****, nvm. You guy's are smart..."

Finally a person that makes sense :shakehands:.

What if a Super Computer in the direction of bleu-gene had a go at decrypting it.

There really isnt anything to decrypt except for the file signer, which will never happen.

Come on man, if you know something, PM me

EDIT: Is it possible that there are multiple versions of this jig in the factory for different installed firmware versions (due to the checks being made when trying to update?)
In my analysis in xmb, before a file or a device gets mounted. It checks for it. I think the ps3 firmware does the check before it boots up in xmb, if a special hardware device is connected it reads it first before proceeding to other hardware. If you run the ps3 it first boots up the sony screen, but seconds is enough for the system to load all needed services even before the sony screen and check everything.

I know that the psp can get unbricked if you plugin a special device and looks automatically for the memory device.

hardware revisions is possible.

it is impossible unless an inside job is to occur. But still how can you access abnormally a super computer if there are 100s of employees around doing other jobs as well? and also there is no way for a normal computer to register to a super computer as part of its nodes remotely. If it is possible for it to connect remotely then an inside job occured. Surely a super computer have administrators online 24/7 to check each nodes and other system needs.

A super computer does nothing if the user can't instruct it correctly. I mean decrypting randomly is impossible. Super Computers need correct logic so that it functions correctly. Instructing it to do a logic error is really dumb. You can't just let the super computer guest the encryption algorithms used in this software.

Note I meant: Would a Super-Computer be able to crack the code? If so: Make a big-*ss grid of PS3's.
