will this still work if i copy the games to from usb drive to the internal drive in the ps3, I have looked around and found other users who have connected a 3.5" external SATA drive with extention cables and its own power supply. if this is possible it would certainly cut back the load time on the downloaded games.

@ joeb1 no just external usb hdd's work.. internal is just for fat ps2's @rezzbo give this a try OPNPS2LD_ps3_427.ELF (reset spu fix) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1L9R93HF but the video lag is due to your ps3 being in ps2 'mode' after loading swapmagic and the usb speed on ps2's are 1.1, using a true usb hdd reduces the lag a lot.. lol daja vu  again

Sorry for all the questions. the only reason why I ask is I have missed out on the anything playstation exclusive. the idea of being able to play ps2 back ups is appealing as its getting harder to find ps2 games. and the lag from loading on usb would be alittle painful. Would the load speed be any different if they were on a usb hdd or thumb drive?

Is the compatibility rate higher than on a PS2? Since the PS3 USB is 2.0 I was thinking it would be better?

How do you fix the usb stick from deleting the elf file? Mine keeps deleting it over and over. It won't keep it on the usb.

Dang guys. Dropped my external drive on the floor (2 foot drop)... Now, no games play (NBA 2k11 nor MK Shaolin Monks--they were working a few days ago). I reinstalled MK Shaolin, and have been defragging every time before I go to play...but still gets stuck at a yellow screen.. Should I redo the entire thing, or buy a new hdd?
Also, what's the newest version of OPL? I'm on 0.7. Thx! |
