After a few tests with a 60gb ntsc US PS3 and rev 198 OPNPS2LD, these are just some of the games I tried over SMB, but IMO these run like they are on a DVD disc in the drive(no stutter, at all)
namco x capcom killzone MGS 2 MGS 3 kengo capcom vs snk 2 marvel vs capcom 2 GTA series(yes, all 5, well did not test vice city yet, so 4) Gran Turismo 4 God of War street fighter 3: 3rd strike street fighter 2: hyper Xenosaga series(all 3) death by degrees burnout dominator burnout revenge neogeo battle coliseum svc chaos capcom fighting evolution resident evil 4 resident evil: code veronica X ..... still testing

works on and off. defragging doesnt always do the trick though. playing nba2k10 btw. I installed xenosaga 1, and didnt work, prolly teh game's incompatible. but it made my nba2k10 not work either (stuck at yellow screen.)

@Stayhye, Could you lemme know when and if GOW crashes : ) Specifically at the point where it says "Kratos, when will it end? " as thats when it crashes on my game. Really does look like SMB is better supported on EE Hardware equiped ps3's than the EU PS3's we have over here. : (

Ya, that took care of that one jagged black glitch that was in every game. Lol, It would have never crossed my mind to try that. With the games I´ve tested, it´s probably about the same through usb or SMB. I few I tried were actually a little worse on SMB in terms of speed and choppiness. I do have Killzone so I´m going to try that one. Although you might have found a couple of times when the ps3 without the EE chip might have run better, in most cases we´re at a disadvantage. For instance., ver 0.1 and the oficial release of 0.4 usbloader didn´t work on our ps3. there´s other homebrew that also doesn´t work but the worse thing is not being able to launch .elf files from the vmc. Meaning we cant use ps2loaders newest feature, IGR ![]() That´s happened to me too. I would have more than one game on the usb and after running a game that was incompatible, the other game got corrupted. It sucks for testing games but once you got a list of working games on your usb drive you shouldn´t have to defragment again. @Denero1, the last official release is 0.6 All the other revisions are pre-0.7 builds. even though they still have 0.6 in the GUI, they´re testing features wich will be in the official 0.7 release. Is there any reason your looking for a build more recent than the one grimlord posted? hmm...IGR? or wireless? another great ps2coder has joined the party and has added IGR, in game reset, to ps2loader. this allows you to put an elf on the vmc, so when your ingame, you can press a certain button combo and boot the elf on the vmc. If you put ps2loader on the vmc, you can play a game, reset back to ps2loader and launch another game without the need of rebooting SwapMagic. very handy. Unfortunately this won´t work with the ps3´s without the EE chip. Shafted again. ![]() I´ve also heard that wireless was now working but I can´t confirm that. If Grimlord or anybody else that can compile the elf wants to post it, I´m sure alot of user would apreciate it.
