Oh yay, this is much easier than the previous two methods for the N1. The psfreedom.ko was a bother with no usb mass storage, wifi, and adb. Then I stumbled upon the recovery image version where you had to select payloads (confusing which one does what). Also exiting forces back into recovery then you get to select reboot back into the system (too many reboots). This one is perfect, one option to turn on and on the psfreedom's screen is an option to either go back to recovery or back into the system when you are done with the jailbreak.

I installed without using fastboot. Save the .img file to the root of the sdcard. With a rooted phone, I simply opened up my terminal app and used the following command lines:

    su (hit enter)
flash_image recovery /sdcard/psfMod-passion-0.9.5.0.img (current file name and hit enter)
reboot recovery (hit enter and phone will reboot into recovery menu)

Note the single upper case 'M' in the file name. I think it is case sensitive so follow the casing and spelling exactly. Don't forget to grab the Quick Boot app from the market to reboot the phone into recovery on future occasions.

Possibly once the psf port of hermes works with Open Backup Manager, as it stands now psf Hermes causes a freeze when you try to enable patched mode.
No question's via PM please, ask in a thread.

Hermes v3 was also just released and it appears to allow some games to use retail updates and eliminates the need for patched mode since it hard rather than soft links to the BD drive. I cant wait till you guys get the Hermes payloads integrated. Looking forward to your future releases and thank you for the time your spending on these projects.

Yeah, count me in! I'm also standing in line for the Hermes V3-update.

By the way, I would be more than happy to buy you a beer Klutsch. PM me if you have a PayPal-account.
