    Now my problem is with the script i have a Cechh 04 with NorFlash every thing runs five until hit the part to run create_hdd_region, i can run script i have the knowldge but the script gave me error like a user in forum of PS3HAX (ps3stor_region: invalid option --8) in bottom of the script after run ./create_hdd_region.sh auto or sh create_hdd_region.sh or even bash create_hdd_region.sh...gave me the same error, i run the restore_vflash to but no region 7 found....
    I was in 3.55 kmeaw than a installed the first dual boot in vflash, but i format the drive in my pc and installed official 3.55 and than again 3.55 kmeaw, for last i instaled your firmwarefirst the 3.55 oficial in recovery than 3.55OtherOs++ recovery mode two and restore PS3....
    I have done this two times every thing goes ok with beeps in all tools but like i said i need fix the problem with create_hdd_region.sh.
    Another thing i have to go to this site http://7track.org/~glevand/public/ make the download of setup_flash_for_otheros.pkg because the link in wikibrew for setup_flash_for_otheros_fat.pkg was down.

    try this it might be a permissions problem
    (if you have internet)

    1. cd /tmp/
    2. wget tinyurl.com/6hxblov
    3. chmod a+x create_hdd_region.sh
    4. ./create_hdd_region.sh auto

    (no internet / then copy the file from usb to /tmp/ and do steps 3 and 4)

    PS3 Debian Squeez issues

    I have PS3 Slim CECH-2004B with 256MB NOR for CFW 3.55 & Other OS 20 GB
    I have successfully installed Debian Squeez following instruction from http :// wiki.gitbrew.org/index.php/PS3:Linux All the steps are completed without any issues and up and running. It was working very well without any problem.
    But after a few reboots and updates it happens that the boot screen shows a message stating that;
    "Faild: kexec /ver/petitboot/mnt/ps3dd2/boot/vmlinux-2.6.38-geebd85d"
    Any help on this to boot the Linux
    I would like to know how to edit files like FSTAB, Kboot.conf etc. after installation in case the Linux OS didn't boot.
    I mean correcting the entries in those files of ps3dd2 drive
    I have tried with Nano but the file seems to be write protected.
    Any Help on this issues

    This method is for CECHA to CECHG models ONLY!!!

    Code:
    Starting from a clean 3.55 OFW..
    AFTER BACKING UP YOUR INTERNAL HARD DRIVE AND QUICK FORMAT ON PS3
    Part 1
    1. Install Gitbrew's latest CFW http://tinyurl.com/355-OOS-22GB
    2. When installation is finished, go to recovery menu and choose "Restore PS3 System"
    3. Now your GameOS will display 22GB less of your HDD space (your new *nix partition = 22GB)
    4. Run setup_flash_for_otheros.pkg (for all PS3 models)
    5. Reboot
    6. Store this file - "dtbImage.ps3.bin" - on USB drive, plug it in and run install_otheros.pkg
    (Try different USB ports if you don't get any beeps)
    7. Run boot_otheros.pkg
    8. Run reboot.pkg
    9. You should be in petitboot now.
    Part 2
    Select "exit to shell" from Petitboot
       1. cd /tmp/
       2. wget tinyurl.com/createhdd
       3. chmod a+x create_hdd_region.sh
       4. ./create_hdd_region.sh auto
    REBOOT PS3 AFTER STEP 4 COMPLETES
       5. parted /dev/ps3dd
       6. mklabel gpt
       7. mkpart primary 0 2GB
       8. print
       9. mkpart primary 2GB (the rest of the hard drive here.)
      10. quit.
      11. cd /tmp/
      12. wget tinyurl.com/initimg
      13. chmod a+x initimg.sh
      14. ./initimg.sh auto
    Part 3
    Installing Debian:
    Select the relevant options for language etc. You must install debian onto "ps3dd#2" as an ext3 partition.
    Then select "yes, I want to format" when in partioner (of Debian installer) to format ps3dd#2 and make it bootable ("yes" for boot flag). Partition ps3dd#1 as swap area (should be approx. 2GB).
    After installing Debian...
        * umount /dev/ps3dd2
        * mount /dev/ps3dd2 /tmp/petitboot/mnt/ps3dd2
       15.  cd /tmp/petitboot/mnt/ps3sdd2/
       16. wget tinyurl.com/orig-kernel
       17. tar xvjf ps3linux_kernel.tar.bz2
       18. cd /tmp/petitboot/mnt/ps3sdd2/etc/
       19. wget tinyurl.com/kbootfile
    Reboot, select "debian_vflash_hugepages" from Petitboot and see Debian boot!
    FWIW my kboot.conf looks like this:
    debian_vflash=/boot/vmlinux-2.6.38-g61f4ef1 root=/dev/ps3dd2
    debian_vflash_hugepages=/boot/vmlinux-2.6.38-g61f4ef1 root=/dev/ps3dd2 hugepages=1
    If you wanna do this through USB (more awkward) then I've got tips below (haven't done it via USB myself).

    Code:
    Here's a list of everything needed:
    Gitbrew's latest CFW
    setup_flash_for_otheros.pkg
    dtbimage.ps3.bin - db.tt/kDGtAi8
    create_hdd_region - tinyurl.com/createhdd
    initimg.sh - tinyurl.com/initimg
    ps3linux_kernel.tar.bz2 - tinyurl.com/orig-kernel
    kboot.conf - tinyurl.com/kbootfile
    debian.iso - tinyurl.com/deb-ps3-iso
    Example:
    Instead of using "wget", use the following:
    Copy file: "cp /address/to/file/on/usb/file.sh /address/to/destination/"
    USB is normally mounted @ /tmp/petitboot/mnt/SDD1 depending on how many ports are used (although could be slightly different for you).
    CREDITS: Gitbrew/Glevand, Graf Chokolo, Korben & the rest!
    USB is normally mounted @ /tmp/petitboot/mnt/SDD1 <------ when u say slightly different do i just change the 1 on the end of SDD
