I have considered doing my PS Vita, but in the end i just couldn't be bothered, i enjoy it the way it is.

I don't enjoy it with or without vhbl unfortunately, I already have psp's for homebrew anyway but hopefully the ps4 and remote play if Sony follow up their promises will help me get more use out of the greatly neglected handheld.

Can't wait for psx sound.... psv scene will stay dead until ps4 comes out or an unexpected exploit comes around not just hacked psp emu.

Even if there was a native Vita exploit found, chances of it being released are low. Most developers agree that the current condition of the vita in terms of games and sales isn't good and piracy would just ruin it in the eyes of developers.
Another thing to consider is the Vita has at least PS3 level security on it or higher. We are not able to hack the newest PS3s and Sony learned from what happened with the older ones. A native hack would be difficult to find and execute.
As for VHBL: There is nothing really that you would be missing out on if you want to use it. It will not get your Vita banned. The most that will happen is Sony releasing a new FW to patch the exploit in the game. (Note: Games themselves are NEVER patched, only the firmware is patched not to allow the exploit). Once you are bored with VHBL you can just update. Kernel exploits are rare, but usermode exploits aren't. Chances are, there will be many more after this one.
