I have an early version of vita. Got it abt 1 year after the launch. Wouldnt want to risk update the fw just to enable the exploit. Maybe lower version has higher chance of getting hack

How does one get an "early" version of the Vita... 1 entire year after launch?

Or was it a japan unit?

I got it from amazon deutsch last year Dec. Is a lbp bundled. Still not yet unboxed. Thinking for it to hack wide open first. LOL. It was pretty cheap. 129 euro before tax and shipping fee.

I got a "very early" PSvita on launch day and updated it because 1) it was about as much fun as a wet kipper round the face and 2) If and when it ever gets hacked it's unlikely to be dependant on an early firmware.

I for one don't see your investment as wise.

Well I guess I m not that eager to get my hands on vita games at the moments as yet. Ps3 games kept my busy as usual, in addition to my work commitment. Unless vita is hack. I would most probably keep it in the box for quite sometime. Lets hope the day of reckoning is near. LOL. I guess older firmware got higher chance of getting hacked. At least ps3 is the case. Every new fw, some security holes are being patched. Which make it even more difficult. That is my understanding, feel free to share your insight if you have other thoughts on this. Thanks.
