I'm still trying to figure out where your going with this and what the hell "over a PS4" means.

So, you are basically buying a digital copy that installs from a disc. Nope, lets not optimize it to run from the disc, lets just dump it on the HDD and let Average Joe worry about space.

so 500gb is just like 500mb then...
Gone are the ps2 days when just a 8mb memory card was enough to answer all the games, offline games were interesting and long, no one knew the full form of DLC, 1 modchip was enough for all models, multiplayer offline was main focus, gameplay was more important than graphics and george bush was the president....

almost 40/50 games can be saved on 8mb memory card on ps2, try that on ps4's 500gb.....
i know it installs game data on ps4, i m just trying to say that the future is getting worse..

@hellsing9 PS4 uses part of its hard drive to cache game data. Most of the 39 gigs will get flushed.
@TOM1211 PS4 doesnt install the data like ps3 progress bar it installs the assets you need to start playing and everything else installs in background while you play.
