Damn E3 flasher Clip cable, someone please help!!!!!!
Hello. I have received my E3 flasher bought brand new yesterday. I have a ps3 slim 2003b. I have connected the E3 cable clip but i keep getting error 10001100. Iv'e tried putting tape, putting coins, and even soft foam rolled to make it very hard (I don't have hard foam). I also tried sanding the cable clip a bit to that the little transistors wont get in the way, and that worked out.
My problem is:
Anytime I try to clip the E3 cable to the NOR chip, one side will clip in, but the other side wont. And when I press on the other side, the opposite side goes up. It just won't clip BOTH sides fully. Please someone help me with is problem. I am completely stuck and it is my first time doing something like this.

this is what I do and almost every time it works perfectly. seat the clip until you hear a snap, gently using your whole tumb make sure u press even pressure on all edges of the clip, use a very good tape wide and long enough to tightly keep the clip seated. when I place the board back onto the cage I use a packaging peanut (pink ones) and place it directly on top of the clip and the cage. put the back cover and just screw down the brackets....works perfectly every and each time.

Thanks, I use black skinny electrical tape, I think i will buy a different tape. And is it best to follow this tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwJr...ZXepJ1piP_U9yw) ? Or do it the original way?

Also, when I snap in one side, the the opposite side slightly goes up, and when I snap that side in , again the opposite side goes slightly up. When I try them both at the same time, It seems as if nothing is being clipped in. Almost as if the whole clip cable is too short for the NOR chip..

Put you finger on the middle of the clip, press it until it seats perfectly on both sides, some times you hear a "pop", this means that the clip is well fitted

I tried my hardest and pushed down, but I'm not convinced that it is fully on. Anyway, I wanted to try to get some dumps, and all blue lights were on so all it good. But as soon as I wanted to pressed "start" button on the E3 flasher board, and all of a sudden my fan was speeding up soo fast and going faster. Lool I kind jumped because I thought it was going to blow up on me lool. Is that normal? The fan was going very fast, and kept speeding up.. Help please.

Follow this guide please : http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=33989
Read it carefully, everything you need is there.
Always semi assemble the box while dumping/flashing, pay attention to heat sinks and thermal paste.

I don't follow youtube videos and do not recommend them, they are outdated. What I do is I put the clip on with both front and back plates and that's it. I do clean off the old paste and place new paste when I first open it to be on safe side. I connect the hard drive to the motherboard and the clip itself boots the e3 board so doesn't need to be connected to the sata.
Once you get the clip seated, get at least 3 good dump by having switch 3 up and all others down and verify each after you extract it from the board.
If you got a good verified dump move to get the second and third, if you get 1 bad one, re-seat and restart until you do and then patch it.
then place the patched file into the flash card and put all switches down and patch the ps3.
once done, put the ps3 back together and install rogero 3.55 downgrader RSOD.
then install toggle QA and do the botton combo
then from recovery menu install OFW 3.55.
From there install any CFW you like
enjoy

Thanks you soo much, and thank you everyone else for your help, I really appreciate it. Right now I'm struggling to connect the e3 clip properly, and keep getting the error 10001100. I tried the new clean sticky tape, and I think it worked well, but another problem occurred where the fan gets super fast very quick. So I have to now replace the old and worn out Sony thermal paste which I just ordered and will come in about 5 days. This is a very long process. I just hope I can get good dumps after I apply the new thermal paste and be done with the E3 flasher..
