Here’s an update of the nullDC emulator being worked on by drk||Raziel:
According to developer drk||Raziel, the nullDC emulator has been successfully compiled using the open source PSL1GHT SDK and is running as should, but there are a few problems ahead. -jailbreakscene.com
from developer drk||Raziel:
the good : ndce compiles and works with psl1ght
the bad: it has no 3d out yet. This was quite a bit more complex than initially thought, and I had far less time than planned.
the ugly: I’m leaving for vacations tomorrow, so don’t expect anything fancy the following week

French site PS3GEN has reported that PS3 Developer Anonymous, is working on a Nintendo DS emulator. Here is an approximate translated quote from the source :
Anonymous, the now famous developer who recently completed emulators PlayStation 1 and Sega Megadrive on PlayStation 3 is back with a new emulator. After a night’s work, he offered us an exclusive alpha version of his emulator Nintendo DS based on DeSmuME.
The emulator is currently in testing phase but we can play 2D games like Yoshi’s Island with good fluidity. Anonymous is working on compatibility and accelerate 3D games as well as the inclusion of sound. It will also add a pointer to use the tactile features games, knowing that for now the L3 button enables a pressure on the screen, which is quite useful when a game requires to support it. Save games are functional and a menu selection opens ROMs when the button R3 is pressed to change the game without having to restart the emulator.
Anonymous wants to improve his first emulator before distributing it. You do not find it on the internet yet. If you want to help financially so he could buy a PlayStation 3 debug to develop more easily, paypal address is: ps3emudev@hotmail.com. Here are some pictures of the emulator in action, we will keep you informed of progress of its work during the day.

For all the nostalgic fans of the Megadrive/Geneisis you’ll be happy to know that Anyonmus has updated Genesis Plus from beta to 1.0
Improvements are:
* A new and better rom menu from Snes9x
* Added settings for enabling/disabling FPS
* Stretch screen, pal60
* Auto detection of the refresh rate
* Fixed sound
* Added savestates
* Shader Filter X2SaI, Hq4x, Super Eagle and many others
I am currently testing it out now, i will give a full review later on.
My review will be split into sections
Audio, Video, Savestates, Saves (hardcoded into game) and overall userbility.
As far as impressions go, this is a damn fine stab at a first proper Sega Emulator.
Audio:
Its getting there, its slightly jumpy and it skips in parts, but i think it various from set to set.
Ive tested this emulator on both a HDTV and the SDTV. On the SDTV the sound is slow but there are not may jumps and glitches.
Where as on the HDTV the jumps and skips are far more noticable
Also it depends on the types of games you play as well. For instance I was playing Phantasy Star III and the sound was jumpy, when you pressed the PS Button, where as on Sonic 2 i did the same thing and it was pretty much perfect.
I have noticed it also depends on what type of filter you use. It would seem (at least for now) some games can not handle some filters, as they slow down to a crawl Phantasy Star III slows down so much that it is unplayable.
But if you change the filter to say Stock, it works just fine. Perhaps these things is what the developer should look out for.
Video:
I cant really say much about the video, beside the point i made earlier about the filters slowing down games.
Stretch mode works well, fills the screen up nicely.The scaling is good, although some of the screen gets cut off.
Useablity: Works preety well as you’d think a V1.0 would. It has had substantual improments to the version we saw only days ago. Its pretty much had an overhaul.
Some of the options do not work well, for instance the (PAL60) if you try to use 580 or whatever it is, on a tellie that clearly supports it, it will just quit and go back to the XMB.
The usb stick still needs to be in the USB000 Slot (furthest one to the right.) Also it needs the gensplus folder in the [ROoT] of the usb stick otheriwise it will not start at all.
*I think you maybe able to boot ROMS from the internal drive, as you can use the inbuilt search menu to look for them. This theory is untested atm.*
Savestates: These are implimented now and do work.
Saves however at least from my experience dont work.
Overall i think Anonymous has done a suberb job and I eagerly await his or hers next upcoming releases.

After waking up i looked for progress on the c64 emulator discussed ealier.. that one has no progress yet but an unrelated emulator has surfaced!
from PSX-Scene here’s the info!
TimRex has released VICE (Versatile Commodore Emulator) for PS3 release 1.0, which is a C64, PLUS4 and VIC20 emulator for PS3 JailBreak users.
Build 1.0 (20-11-2010)
- Initial Release, based on Vice 2.2.7
* Full-speed emulation
* Audio enabled (FastSID)
* Fullscreen support, 16:9, 4:3
* Video filters, with preview
* Autoload
* Warp Mode (Achieves ~ 350-700% actual speed)
* On-Screen Keyboard (partial support).
* Keyboard Support (partially implemented).
* Supports all known (uncompressed) formats (.d64 .d71 .d80 .d81 .d82 .g64 .g41 .x64 .t64 .tap .prg .p00)
Menu Controls
CROSS – Launches the emulator with the selected title set to fast autoload
TRIANGLE – Launches the emulator directly into C64 BASIC
SELECT – Settings / Configuration
START – Returns to the emulator
TRIANGLE – Mapped to keyboard for ‘Y’
CIRCLE – Mapped to keyboard for ‘N’ – Doubly mapped to ‘UP’ (See note 1)
SQUARE – Mapped to keyboard for
L1 – Mapped to keyboard for ‘F1′
L2 – Mapped to keyboard for ‘F3′
R1 – Mapped to keyboard for ‘F5′
R2 – Mapped to keyboard for ‘F7′
R3 – On-Screen-Keyboard (partially supported)
L2 + R2 – Warp Mode
*1 The CIRCLE button has been doubly mapped to the joystick ‘UP’ direction. This is useful for platform style games where the UP direction indicates a JUMP action. Clearly a difference in design aesthetics between joysticks and control pads, this might be more desirable.
Known Issues
- Compressed formats currently NOT supported (.zip .bz2 .gz .d6z .d7z .d8z .g6z .g4z .x6z)
- On-Screen-Keyboard is not fully mapped yet. Some keys will register incorrectly, if at all.
- Actual Keyboard support not fully implemented, but good enough for the minute.
- Does not save settings / configuration
Source code to be made available pending some serious cleanup and refactoring.
Thanks go out to Squarepusher, Shinhalsafar, Cm0nkey, Airmaker for their hard work on the Snes9x PS3 port, and their cellFramework library. This work also incorporates their menu system and config UI. Also to the original VICE team for creating a solid and well maintained codebase to work with.

A couple of days ago, we posted here about a PS1 emulator made exclusive to PSGroove.com, well a user by the name of halsafar on the same site has released a VBA Emulator for PS3, here is a quote from the source:
I am pleased to finally release my teams port of VBA (Visual Boy Advance) to the public. It is a clean port of the most recent VBA-M emulator, that is fully functional, equal to our teams SNES9X-PS3 and FCEU-PS3 releases.
We spent some time optimizing it. The VBA-M source is not conducive to being run on the PPU. After applying many small optimizations we have obtained 60fps in all the important games.
Enjoy GB and GBA with shaders!
Vba 0.99 (3.41 only, 1.92 coming soon)
Here is a short quote from the Readme:
This is an application for the PlayStation3 that makes it possible to play
Game Boy Classic / Game Boy Color / Game Boy Advance games on your jailbroken
PlayStation3. It is based on an up-to-date version of the popular PC emulator,
VBA-M.

An anonymous source has released Exclusively to PSGroove.com a PS1 Emulator for the PS3, here is a quote from the source:
An anonymous source has contacted us with some exciting, exclusive news. He has released a PSX emulator for PS3, entitled PS3SX. The emu is a port of PCSX to the PS3. It runs at full speed, full screen, and supports CDDA and XA audio. This pre-release also features 2 player support, saving, and iso formats *.iso *.bin *.mds *.img.
Currently the source code has not been released, but it will be once the emu is completely ported using just the PSL1GHT SDK. PS3SX will run on all retail 3.41 units (fat and slim). Currently it is untested on older firmwares and does not work on debug units (PS3 Test units).
Instructions: Install PKG file on PS3. Either use the folders from the rar file, or make “bios” “MC” and “psxrom” folders in the root of a USB drive. Download PSX bios file below, and place it in “bios” folder. Place legally owned PSX backup ISO’s in the “psxrom” folder. Run emulator and play!
Please note there is currently a bug with this pre-release. You can only quit the emulator when running a game. If you attempt to exit to XMB at the rom menu, the emulator will freeze.
Here is a quote from the ReadMe:
PS3SX Pcsx port on PS3 using PS3 SDK and psl1ght it’s a hybride for the pre-release

The folks over at Logic-Sunrise, have released screenshots of their WIP port of the FBANext emulator. This is not to be confused with the other Final Burn Alpha emulator we reported on earlier this week, this is being developed by seperate team. The team plans to have a public beta test in the near future, with the goal of it running at 1080p and 60fps.
Loosely translated announcement below:
And now, the job development are continuous way, and it is now fifteen SPF obtained by running the CPS2 ROMS.
A first beta of FBAnext PS3 will be presented in a few weeks time to make the emulator playable, with a target of 60FPS in 1080p, like its counterpart 360.
Place the screenshots, and arm yourself with a little patience for the first release rears its nose.
