    Your favorite backup manager just got sexier, dean, the coder behind Multiman, has released a massive update to his backup manager with many goodies for you to get your hands on. New features include the long awaited NTFS support (for EXTERNAL USB drives currently). Fixes the 99% hang issue many of you were having when copying files. He also brings v3.56 spoofing. The NTFS is still being worked on so if there are issues be patient as they will most likely be fixed in the future. (more…)

    If you don’t have it, get it because Deans multiMAN v1.15.00 is such an improvement that no other BM will seem to exist right now. Dean brings to us some very very cool stuff like support for “Black Screen Games” from external USB HDD (via anonymous#3), lauching “Black Screen Games” w/[SELECT+X], fixed Blu-ray to AVCHD conversion for all of you with that on your wish-list, the memory allocation for RemotePlay was fixed, and this will be the most important line that you will read today…..Ready?….Games like AC1, POP, MW2, and all which didn’t work before now work! So please go, get this, and remember to thank that wonderful dedicated man, Deanrr, for this great application!

    (Dean has updated to v1.15.01 Check the changelog below)

    * It is required that you have a Blu-ray Disk in the drive at all times, if you can, and “Non-Modified” game files. Disk-less compatibility can vary! Make sure you restart your system anytime an Lv2 application has been used (GAIA/Lv2 V6) before starting multiMAN v1.14.0+

    * multiMAN v1.15.0 is a stand-alone installation, no prior installs required. If you have never installed multiMAN, use the v1.15.00 Mega Pack to get all the extra’s (covers & themes) installed, otherwise use the v1.15.00 base package

    * If you have v1.14.01 or v1.14.02 installed, just install v1.15.00 [Update] over that. No delete required, but you can delete any previous installs and install v1.15.00 Mega/Base.

    * multiMAN v1.14.0+ should not require you to run Lv2 v/any! Do not run before multiman! You should only need Lv2 for Fix Permissions. I would restart the system after running Lv2 then run multiMAN.

    * Delete prior versions before installing v1.14.0+.

    Looks like Dean is setting up to release v1.15.00 with much more improvements since this v1.14.02 update is an release candidate. This update improves upon disc and disc-less support. Thanks Dean!

    It is required that you have a Blu-ray Disk in the drive at all times if you can, disk-less compatibility can vary! Make sure you restart your system anytime an Lv2 Application has been used (GAIA/Lv2 V6) before starting multiMAN v1.14.0+

    * multiMAN v1.14.0 is a stand-alone installation, no prior installs required. If you have never installed multiMAN, use the v1.14.00 Mega Pack to get all the extra’s (covers & themes) installed, otherwise use the base package, then install v1.14.02 over v1.14.00.

    *If you have v1.14.01 installed, just install v1.14.02 over that. No delete required.

    * multiMAN v1.14.0+ should not require you to run Lv2 v/any! Do not run before multiman! You should only need Lv2 for Fix Permissions. I would restart the system after running Lv2.

    * Delete prior versions before installing v1.14.00.

    Update v1.13.04 brings to us some really nice improvements and a couple new features. Dean has added a few new options in options.ini that lets us finally clear our activity logs after the use of multiMAN to deter Sony from knowing what we have been doing and Dean has also add the option to select load custom payload. New to multiMAN is an Experimental web browser which can be found on the File Manger screen. In addition to those neat features, the On-screen-keyboard now supports all languages from Latin to Chinese glyphs. Once again, a big thanks, goes out Dean!

    multiMAN v1.13.04 is a stand-alone install no prior installs reguired. If you have never installed multiMAN, use the Mega Pack to get all the extra’s (covers & themes) installed, otherwise use the base package.

    Update v1.13.03 brings to us some really nice improvements and a couple new features. Once again, a big thanks, goes out Dean!

    deanrr is forever improving his awesome program for the PS3, the popular multiMAN, it does, PS3 backups, ftp, filemanager, images, hex reading, MP3′s and now he has added PS2 backup support, it is still in the experimental stage, but deanrr is on the way, to having a complete Media Center for the PS3:

    01.11.05 –

    * Fixed mount points reset on launch
    * Added experimental support for PS2 game backups
    * Other minor fixes

    A quote from deanrr:

    For those of you who wish to experiment with PS2 backups:

    1) Proper category_game_tool2.xml required to enable PS2 disc icon in XMB/GAME column in jailbreak mode
    2) Original PS2 game required
    3) Original PS3 game required
    4) PS2 backup extracted in one of the folders where multiMAN looks for games (usually with your PS3 backups)

    1) Reboot your PS3 in JB mode
    2) Put original PS3 disc
    3) Launch multiMAN and mount your PS2 game backup
    4) Replace the PS3 disc with original PS2 disc
    5) PS2 disc icon should appear in GAMES column. Try to launch it.

    Dean

    EDIT
    As it seems people will misunderstand the purpose of this, i would like to remind people that this is only for BC(Backwards Compatible) PS3 Consoles.

    Based off the Open Manager homebrew application, multiMAN function not only as a backup manager, but also as a file manager, and as an AVCHD and BDMV player—a very useful tool to have installed on your jailbroken PS3, I must say.

    *What is New in v1.10.13:*
    This release comes with some minor changes, such as new fonts, no compile errors for source, separate update for firmware v3.15.

    *What is AVCHD?* AVCHD is a camcorder video format. Most camcorder use this format for high-definition recording.

    *What is BDMV?* BDMV is a Blu-ray video format.

    *Features:*

    * User defined options.ini (options_default.ini) to set various options
    * Copy/backup progress bar
    * Support and display for 7 devices (HDD/USB/BD/SDHC/MS/CF)
    * Animated icons and backgrounds

    *Controls:*

    * [ANALOGUE RIGHT STICK] – Moves mouse pointer
    * [ANALOGUE LEFT STICK] – Acts as D-PAD
    * [L1] – Switches back to ‘game’ display mode
    * [L2] – Page down (left pane)
    * [R2] – Page down (right pane)
    * [D-PAD] – up/down/left/right moves mouse cursor 1 line up/down (left/right pane)
    * [X] – Enters selected directory
    * [/] – Exit to XMB
    * [[ ]] – Delete file/folder (use with caution – disabled for PS3 root folders)
    * [O] – Copy file/folder
    * [O]+[SELECT] – Move file/folder (not implemented)
    * [X]+[SELECT] – Rename file/folder (not implemented)

    *Bottom device icons:*

    * [X] or [L3] – Loads device folders in LEFT pane
    * [O] or [R3] – Loads device folders in RIGHT pane

    *Changelog for v01.10.12:*

    * Cover mode 3 will show the cover if available (or COVER.PNG for AVCHD titles).
    * Clicking on [GAMES] in file manager will show the initial cover mode (set in the .ini).
    * In the picture viewer: images will slide into the screen and UP/DOWN will zoom to fit H/V.
    * In file manager: when user enters a new folder, mouse pointer will go to the [..] entry.
    * On inactivity in game cover modes the legend and device list will also disappear.

    *Changelog for v01.10.13:*

    * Display mode #1 uses FREE TYPE fonts.
    * Filemanager [RENAME]: the current name is displayed.
    * Separate UPDATE via internet for firmware 3.15.
